Make a box for presents yourself – Bastle eine Geschenkebox selbst

Need a quick self-made box for presents? Don’t know where to get one quickly? Just make one yourself, it’s quick and easy, but pretty and stable. My kids actually taught me how to make this one.

Suchst du noch eine kleine Box für Geschenke und weißt nicht, wo du auf die Schnelle eine herbekommen sollst? Mach dir einfach selbst eine! Es geht ganz schnell und leicht, wird trotzdem schön und stabil. Die Anleitung habe ich tatsächlich von meinen Kindern.

Preparations for making a box yourself:

You need:

Two paper squares if you want to make a box bottom and a top. The bottom square should be slightly smaller than the top, so they will fit inside each other. For a 12 x 12 inch paper, cut off half an inch off one side of the paper and the top (or bottom). The remainder should be a paper square of 11,5 x 11,5 inches.

Step one:

The side of the paper that should be the inside of your box must be on the inside now too, but I will show you later what I mean. Fold the paper first in the following order:

Fold both sides in half, then fold the corners together:

The result should look like this:

The inside must be facing you from now on.

2) Continue folding the box:

Now, fold the corners to the center of the square until it looks like this:

Leave the paper folded and continue folding up as shown in the next picture, but only fold up this one side to the center of the paper and it’s opposite side:

Fold one side up and then it’s opposite side just like this:

Now, open the paper and turn it around until you see this:

Open up your latest folds and lay the paper in front of you like this.

Fold the sides that are facing you now towards the center of the paper:

Can you see that these folds already make up the sides of your box?

Step two: Finish the box

Now, turn the almost finished box towards you and fold one side up like this:

Let me show you again on the other side:

Can you see how the folds are made? Now fold in the triangle and your box is finished:

And here are some more that my kids and I made. The kids made prints on the papers and after they have dried made boxes from them. The little yellow one will be used as a box for secret santa in school 🙂

Vorbereitung für die Box:

Du benötigst:

Zwei quadratische Papiere, wenn du eine Ober- und Unterseite machen möchtest. Die Unterseite sollte ein klein wenig kürzer sein, als die Oberseite, damit die beiden Teile ineinanderpassen. Wenn du z.B. ein Din A4 Papier zu einem Quadrat schneidest, dann schneide von der Unterseite noch jeweils 1 cm an einer Seite und an der Unter- (oder Oberkante) ab. Dann sollte das Papier für den unteren Teil der Box 20×20 cm groß sein.

Schritt eins:

Die Papierseite, die nachher im inneren der Box liegen soll, muss jetzt auch innen liegen. Ich zeige es dir gleich nochmal genauer. Falte jetzt erstmal das Papier so:

Falte jeweils beide Kanten aneinander, dann alle vier Ecken aufeinander:

So sollte das Resultat aussehen:

Das ist jetzt die Innenseite meiner Box und diese muss ab jetzt immer nach oben zeigen.

2) Falte die Box weiter:

Falte jetzt die Ecken in die Mitte des Papiers, bis es so aussieht: Now, fold the corners to the center of the square until it looks like this:

Lass das Papier zusammengefaltet. Falte dann eine Kante zur Mitte wie im folgenden Bild. Falte dann noch die gegenüberliegende Kante gleichermaßen.

Eine Kante zur Mitte falten, dann die gegenüberliegende Kante.

Öffne jetzt die Falten und drehe das Papier zu dir herum, dass es so aussieht:

Öffne die letzten Falten und lege das Papier so vor dich hin.

Jetzt faltest du die beiden anderen Kanten zur Mitte:

Kannst du erkennen, dass diese Kanten bereits die Seiten deiner Box ergeben?

Schritt zwei: Vervollständige die Box

Drehe nun die fast fertige Box zu dir herum und lege die Ecken wie auf dem folgenden Bild gezeigt zusammen.

Ich zeige es dir nochmal auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite:

Kannst du erkennen, wie man die Ecke zusammenlegt? Klappe dann das Dreieck in die Innenseite der Box und schon ist sie fertig!

Hier zeige ich dir ein paar Beispiele, die meine Kinder und ich angefertigt haben. Meine Kinder haben die Papiere teilweise bedruckt und bemalt und dann Boxen daraus gefaltet. Die gelbe mit dem aufgeklebten Fuballpapier wird als Box für Weihnachtswichtel in der Schule genutzt 🙂
